Some of the grotty people of Gravesend

ALSATIAN MAN

Often spotted between Park Place & Town. This chap likes to wear some "happenin' threads" namely, a beret, a denim waistcoat & NHS specs. He can usually be seen with his trusty alsatian (let's call him Pedro) walking to town several times a day for no aparant reason.

When i was in Bedi's Newsagents once (or the SPAR as it is now), and Alsatian man came in &bought one king size Mars bar & one regular one. When the lady behind the counter asked if one was for Pedro he said "yeah, the big ones fer 'im. Ee likes maars baars.

Strangely enough i havent seen his dog around lately. Heart attack

TRAMPY MAN

The bloke who used to sit outside The Queens Diner and looked (& probably smelt) like the elephant man. also could be seen nursing a cup of tea in Mcdonalds early every morning.

I had a friend at school who claimed he didn't have a pane of glass in his whole house & had covered his windows with newspaper. But then you wouldn't expect anything less from a man who's only hobby was shouting at buses...

The Pocock

ETHEL (R.I.P)

This isn't a picture of Ethel. i'd try to get a picture of her but 've heard from a few people shes died. Don't know if its true but if it is we will all miss her sitting outside woolworths pissong herself. Or getting her minge out in the Buffalo's head. Or stopping the buses just to swear at the drivers. Or pokig people with her stick and shouting.

yes we will miss you Ethel.

THE SMELLIES

This is the nearest picture to one of the smellies i could find for now. looks a bit like the fat one who looks like she's permanantly pregnant. you know who they are, they walk in to a shop/cafe/pub and within minutes everyone else walks out. always dressed like tramps and smelling like them "The Smellies" as they are known by many, frequent Gravesends many charity shops. Tey can often be seen in strange places at strange times. For example they've been spotted On Crete Hall Road (by the cement works) at 4am & also walking up the side of the A2 around midnight.

THE LADY WHO SMELLS OF WEE ON THE BUS

You know who i mean. shes often sits on the 480/490 or the 136 and rides all the way to Dartford or Chatham. she wears a green coat and stinks off wee. She also enjoys talking to her self, i found this out the hard way. On a recent trip to Chatham on the 136 she was sat behind me and a friend and she spent the who trip mumbling to herself, wailing and sobbing.

Shes not a nasty baglady though

THE LADY IN THE TREES

"The lady in the trees" lives in some bushes up by the Tollgate interchange of the A2, not far from the hotel or the petrol station. She's the harmless looking old dear who wanders around town with a holdall & boots on. But stray to close to the bushes where she lives and she lets out bloodcurdling screams and swears at you. Doesn't sound that scary? try doing it at 9pm walking to the bus stop. i'm not ashamed to say i soiled myself on more than one occasion. she's a mentalist and can be a NASTY baglady.
